This course will provide an overview of the new Social Responsiveness Scale, Third Edition (SRS®-3): its rationale, historical context, evidence base, and advances over prior versions.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Explain advances in understanding the nature and causation of autism-related conditions based on research implementing quantitative SRS-3 ratings; 
  •  Identify new features of the SRS-3 that accentuate strengths-based frameworks for ratings and affirm inclusivity and considerations of neurodiversity; and 
  • Describe the application and interpretation of SRS-3 assessments in clinical, research, and educational settings.

John N. Constantino, MD 

holds an MD from Washington University School of Medicine and completed a combined residency in pediatrics and psychiatry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. From 2009 to 2022, Dr. Constantino directed the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Washington University in St. Louis and co-led its Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities Research Center. He is currently a professor of Pediatrics, Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, and Human Genetics at the Emory University School of Medicine and serves as the Liz and Frank Blake Chair of Children’s Behavioral and Mental Health at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Constantino founded the Social Developmental Studies Laboratory at Washington University, which received continuous federal funding for 25 years to study genetic and environmental impacts on social behavior. He is the author of the Social Responsiveness Scale (SRS®), a global assessment standard translated into over 70 languages to quantify the characterizing traits and features of autism. The SRS is normed across the lifespan and has been a key element of scientific discovery in psychiatric genetic epidemiology, involving hundreds of thousands of research participants. In Atlanta, Dr. Constantino has dedicated the latest phase of his career to pioneering clinical innovations and translating advances in behavioral science into system transformation in child mental health.

Ann K. Rogers, PhD, NCSP 

is the WPS International Retail Sales Manager. She has a PhD in school psychology with specializations in neuropsychology and developmental psychology. She is a nationally certified school psychologist (NCSP). Dr. Rogers has worked in the field of assessment for over 25 years in various roles with test publishers, as a practitioner in schools and in private agencies, in neuroscience medical education programs for pharmaceutical companies, and as an adjunct university instructor for school psychology training programs.
